Enough of Mourning over YSL's death. Snap out of it Joel! Time to update my sad blog! Thats something my cousin told me to do months ago, but yet i do not have the time/mood to. haha!
Anyway ever since YSL came out with their AW collection i was so intriged by their hair and told myself that i wanted it. It was only recently that i was flipping through Style magazine that i just went to Kent, my hair stylist, to get it done. Walked into class today with everyone's eyes and mouth opened wide, sounds absurd, but it is true. So here it goes...

Yves Saint Laurent's Memorial Service
Parisians Mourn the Designer
June 5, 2008 – Fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent was laid to rest in Paris today. Among the mourners who gathered at the Église Saint-Roch, near the Louvre, were French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy (in a black trouser suit, a tribute to a designer who was an early champion of the style); Pierre Bergé, Saint Laurent's longtime business partner; YSL muses Catherine Deneuve and Inès de la Fressange; and designers such as John Galliano, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, and Kenzo. The real tribute to the great designer's influence, though, may have been the more than 1,000 people who gathered in the street outside the church to pay their last respects.

I would just NEVER get bored listening to this song over and over and over again.=j I've kind of grew up lisstening to the groove coverage version, but i like how country could sound great with that touch of mysterious dark feeling. I just love the art direction of this whole MV. Abosolutely when the row of butlers shifted when they were holding candle stands in their hands.Although the clothes could look a little dated, they are BACK! The polos and that straw hat thing...

Chinese New year is coming in two days and no I am not happy about it. I have to get my room cleared up with the spring-cleaning and to put my work away for a few days, and that would create a whole new lot of problems to get it all started all over again. I just hate it when pauses and breaks to happen when I have just gotten the hang of something, which I don’t exactly love to do. Just hate it…
The new-year clothes are another problem, I did not have sufficient time to work on my shopping and my plan of going monochrome went down the drain. I planned to go all 1940s with monochrome and to break it all up with shocking red accessories like rosettes, bow ties, belts and stuff. Sounds pretty gay huh?
It is very much depressing walking down Bugis street everyday, looking at what ghetto people would be wearing this spring. Depressing because most of their new arrivals could be found in my wardrobe, and this means that I have to move on.

It’s really sad to see PROUD fashion mistakes roaming about the streets, destroying the whole style of fashion. It’s not to say that I don’t have my mistakes, but heavy padded sport shoes do not go with skinny jeans. And people with big bulging thighs just cannot wear skinny jeans. Please do not time travel and mix the different retro decades together, like colour blocking with vintage.
I’m just really frustrated looking at the local scene. Sometimes I secretly wished that ghetto people should just remain how they are and not get their style ideas from the runways.
