-=| I cannot stand your FON (Full Of Nosense) |=-
I cannot bear with my dad's nonsense any longer. At office he would either call home every few hours to check on the house or he would instruct my mum and I to do chores for him. Every time he comes home he will go and look for all the faults in the house and go around blaming the person who is in charged of that territory. He will find things like messy book case, packed trash bins, dusty floor, the way we do things, and many other weird stuff he comes up with. Tries to blame all the faults on that person and he will feel very good, however he gets bombarded in return, he will feel very uncomfortable and channels his anger against the next victim, this goes in a cycle till one party gets tired.

"Why is the table so messy? You leave your things here and there, leaving the house looking like a rubbish bin. Look at me, I am also not like you."

"Look at your own table, don't come and compare me with you" (Ever since he moved to this new flat, he literally transferred all the items from the previous table from the previous house to the table in the current house, I wonder who is worst.)

Another instance was when I had to go to LaSalle on Tuesday, and I sms-ed JJ the night before to ask him how to get there. He ended up blaming me for not being independent to look it up myself. Bleah! Is it a wrong that I have many contacts, and that one of them was very kind to tell me how to get about there? The house is under renovations, the bus directory is hidden some where between the boxes, Dad gave me the wrong directions for the previous time to get about there, despite that he was a co porter, no one at home told me how to get there, with this situation I will go ask people who knows right? Dumb.

This routine has been going on everyday for more then a month, till I accidentally bitched about him with his acknowledgement on Wednesday night.

"Aiyah, he is just too lonely. No one wants to talk to him, nobody in office talks to him and that is why he is like that."

I was in the living room with my mum, and he came out glaring at me as he enters the kitchen. Well I feel that I have done nothing wrong, and this is a feed back from me. This is a problem and he must learn to solve it on his own. Who wants to talk to you with your holier than thou attitude? Giving people a feeling that you are more superior then they are. Peh! Ever since that night he did not come to look for me, I shall enjoy this peace period for a while before he comes up with something else.

-=| Renovations |=-

This week really sucks; my house is under renovations for this whole week and a few days of the next. I knew right from the start of the week that I cannot live in such conditions, pimple breakouts, allergies and rash would sure to arise.
"It is just going to be one week." My mother said with disbelieves, and everything above did happened to me the next day. I really hate it when this happens; it causes me to feel inferior of other people with nice skin.

On Monday, I was forced out of the bed as early as 7 plus close to 8, to help mum do some last minute moving and shielding of objects with newspaper. (I am now used to the sleeping cycle of sleep at 1-2am and waking up at 10-12am.) Damn, I am malnutrition and now not having enough sleep.

The contractor came and laid a "red carpet"(Cardboard sheet to protect the expensive parquet flooring) to welcome the sashaying fashionably late workers.

Ladies take note: Checkered shirt paired with red-hot puffy pants is in this summer fashion. To further accentuate the look wear Mediterranean sandals up to the mid calf, right below the knees. Go for the fashionable retro, middle eastern look, wear a silky scarf folded in half like a triangle and end it by tying ends with a knot at the chin with a big bumble bee retro glasses.

The workers were wearing stuff like that but I did exaggerated stuff a little but whatever it is the Mediterranean look will be in sooner or later. The workers started work with a huge sledgehammer and started pounding on a wall. It looks real fun for the workers, slamming that hammer on the wall, but for the people around is an eardrum vibrating, earthquake like noise pollution.

I shall not go in detail, but the workers removed the master bed frame, raised a few walls, removed a few doors, hacked up the floor and created a real mess in the house. The wood paneling in the room is gray in colour instead of a light mahogany and that is how thick the dust was.

The weather nowadays is really hot, the windows of the room were all opened; yet I could sweat by just seating, could easily save money on sauna. The newly build room seems really freaky, sound waves echo on the walls even though the windows were wide opened, I do not feel any wind from the windows, and I could sweat in that room, it is as if I am in a vacuum.*Paranoid that i might get into attack due to not having enough air *

For the first night, I slept on the floor with a mattress like a kindergarten kid at childcare, next to dust and concrete chips, with a huge sofa blocking a shared fan in the living room. My mum was thinking of sleeping length wise on the double-seated sofa at the living room, my nincompoop dad went to sleep seating down on the favorite side of that double-seated sofa leaving "lucky" mum to choose between 2 out of 3 single seated sofas.

As for my Sis, she went to sleep in the room filled with sand, concrete dust, chips of bricks and concrete. That room was really hot despite the windows were wide opened, the fan could not be used as the dust would be all over the air, what accompanied her throughout the night was a handy dandy straw fan. My sis fell asleep drenched in sweat after vigorously fanning herself with that useless manual fan. I guess it is not just a material price that we need to pay to get the major renovations done; it is a physical suffering that we need to pay too.

-=| Makeover photo shoot. |=-

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

People say that when they go for makeover photo shoots they look totally different. I feel that they are totally right, as the make up artist actually gives me a thin make up, the camera lady gives me a nice background and lighting, and the computer person gives me a little touch up and with the every little effort here and there it gives me a total different look. Which means if I were to put a little make up I would actually look a little better then how I look normally, seems like the saying is true, there is no ugly person just a lazy one. I feel that in this photo I look totally harmless, like a mummy's boy or something that I do not think I am, am I?

Well as I said in my previous posts this is the birthday day present for myself. This are not all the photos as the album and the soft copy is still on its way. Curse that Jean yip, promised us that it will be done in a month, but it is already more then a month.

-=| Having 3 different hairstyles in a week. |=-

Yeah, 2 weeks ago my sis wanted to do something about her hair. I guess she felt kind of inferior when she was amongst the hair stylist at Jean yip during the make over, as many of the stylists had the Japanese straight fringe thingy. So she decided to visit Ken for a quick snip. She told him that she wants the straight fringe and he began to do his thing.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I guess because hasn't visited Ken for 6 months and her hair was in terrible condition, and he gave her the Le yao look in Holland V, that china doll hair (first layer merely covered the ear) with a longer layer below. That hair was very layered to remove as many spoiled hair as possible. Being not used to the little bunch of hair to play with, she decided to cut off the lower layer, that way she will look really like the china dolls.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

She still went ahead to trim her hair, and she decided to have Felicia Chin's hair in women of times. That really layered rebonded look, and that when she ties her hair up it will jut out straight, and the pony tail starts off really small and ends with just a few strands. But she never achieved that, as she still had a little of the curly hair she had from the beginning of the year. Well I guess she likes her hair, as if this goes on, it will sound like a strand of numerous failed plastic surgery trying to mend and make up for the mistakes that was done.

-=| Scandalous |=-

Oh my god! Vanness and Kangta have a Scandal. Bleah! Does it even bother me? It's their album, and they named it Scandal. It is said on 933 that both were on a variety show and they were playing a game to test how much do they know each other. And the host was asking questions like when did they first met, and did both of them have any weird habits while sleeping. Kangta replied that they only happened to have slept in the same room once, and was too tired to observe Vaness. Creating an illusion as if they were a new couple.

Another instance was when I saw both Vanness and Kangta were on Entertainment 100%. And Xiao Zhu asked them about their MV where Vaness pushed Kangta and whether if the push was very painful. And Kangta replied "Ta nong teng wo le." It sounds real gay. It is really a disadvantage for being poor in a language, as every word used gives the sentence a different meaning.

Hey dun Vanness's hair look familiar? yeah i used to have a similar hair... really glad i dun have it with me now.

-=| My 2 week long blog entry |=-

And so here I am back to blog again. During these 2 weeks many things just happened and I just cannot stop it. And currently at home I am going through a huge crisis and I do not know what to do.

2 Sundays ago, when I was having fun with the others at uncle John's house, my mum broke the news that she is quitting her job. It was such a shocking decision of hers, and I wonder why did she want to do that. She has been working for the home, which was under the church for a loyal 15 years. And now suddenly she just quit, something must be really wrong here.

It was only on the Monday where I have over heard weird conversations and suspicious news that she wants to quit her job, I was like "Oh my god!" First thing that came to mind was are we going to be starving? The main breadwinner of the family is losing her job and that Friday was going to be her last day. That dad of mine is holding a job just to kill time and my sis do not even have enough money for herself. What are we going to go through? I am starting school in weeks and what might happen to me? Question like these flooded my brain.

And what my mother would say is that no need worry. We got through the time where your dad did not go to work, so we will still go by this time. I was thinking to my self, my dad works as a health bookseller, having to go to schools to impress the principal to buy the books. How much money could he earn?

Well her resignation was the cause of some office political problems, which is not nice to elaborate here as it would tarnish the institution's name some how or rather. Well this made me real disappointed with them, and it gave me a different impression of them.

On Wednesday, I went out with Shaun to Orchard to go bumming around bitching about things we see which we find very fascinating. Basically crap off the whole day, but it was filled with lots of fun and laughter. If you noticed i had eye liner on, and one eye smudged, it took me like 1 hour to draw a pair of eyes, but all is worth it.

It was only 1 week ago where my parents was deciding of dividing the 2 rooms which they have been occupying for that many years back to their original state. And my sis and I get to have our own personal room. I guess it is a blessing in disguise, as my mum would have time to invigilate the procedure of the hacking and mending of the walls.

Well I have many future plans for my room, and I want it to look totally different from the others. Now that the room is mine, I shall be able to decide on the wall's colour and where things should go; I just cannot wait for that day to come.

Last Friday, I was like spending my afternoon clearing up my cupboard. It was filled just with things from sec3-4. It is just 2 years but my worksheets and assignments just piled up into 2 gigantic bags, which was the equivalent of about 3 A3, sized boxes. The first bag was brought to the lift level and the 2nd was thrown down the shoot, stack by stack memories of what I felt when doing those compositions flooded my mind. It was a pity that my blood and sweat is going down the shoot, but it feels quite good. It seems as if it was a sign that whatever I have done is the pass and now I am starting stuff anew. The sound of paper fluttering down the 12-leveled shoot just was so addictive, and made me feel like throwing more stuff down. I guess if the paper flooded the bin, the cleaners would have a hard time maneuvering. Imagine those cleaners were to pull the bin out of the shoot and see lots of horribly scribbled papers on the surface and connect it with their cute little automobile and starts driving it to the next stop. Wherever it went it left a trail, like a funeral, instead of incense paper, my worksheets, a funeral for those teacher's hearts which I broke, teacher's face I trampled on, and teacher's feelings which I trash with my mouth.

Cleaning up was not a favorite chore to do, but because I am going to take over a whole room makes me more diligent to clear things up sooner. If possible I will try my best to post my before and after pictures.

-=| Devil beside you |=-

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Well here is another Show that i would like to introduce you about, it's "Devil beside you", i shall not write further more and let this summary relate to you.

Brief Summary
In short, "Devil Beside You" is your typical 'good girl is attracted to bad boy' story. Adapted from a famous Japanese manga, it features Qi Yue, a second year college student who is the regular innocent, honest girl. Accidentally, she presents a love letter to the wrong guy. The guy who she meant to give it to was her crush, Yuan Yi, the captain of the basketball team. Instead, much to her humiliation, she ends up handing this sacred note to a boy named Jiang Meng (Ah Meng). He is a freshman, the son of the President of the school, and a total bully.

Ah Meng, using the love letter as blackmail material, then orders Qi Yue to become his personal servant. She, after hearing about his reputation and being terrified of him, agrees to his wishes. Eventually, a series of events occur and Qi Yue finds herself extremely attracted to this 'devil' and vice versa. Things start to get really complicated though when they realize that Ah Meng's dad is planning to marry Qi Yue's mom! What is to become of their 'jie-di' relationship?

Cast
Mike He Jun Xiang (also known as Xiao Mei) as Ah Meng
Ah Meng can be simply described as 'hard on the outside, but soft on the inside'. Due to his unhappy and at times, painful past, he may come across as a jerk and is rebellious, stubborn and arrogant. This probably stems from his lack of motherly love (his parents divorced when he was little and his mom left him to be taken care of by his grandmother). Nevertheless, Ah Meng is really a softie on the inside despite his tough outer appearance.

Consequently, when Ah Meng is with Qi Yue, he is a totally different person. He becomes understanding, romantic, caring and protective; basically perfect boyfriend material! Ah Meng really knows how to treat his girlfriend, and he doesn't need a reason or anyone's approval to be with her.

I found myself really loving this character because not only did he care for his Qi Yue, but he was also a great, loyal friend and a considerate brother/son/grandson. Like what Yuan Yi said, Ah Meng was an extremely mature individual that took in everyone's emotional problems and blamed himself for it. He really had compassion for others around him.

Rainey Yang Cheng Lin as Qi Yue
Qi Yue is a very lovable girl who also has a lot of consideration for others. She's agreeable and sweet, and would rather suffer than see anyone around her hurt. She has had a close relationship with her mother ever since her father died when she was little. Feeling that her mother's well-being should be a priority, she keeps her relationship with Ah Meng a secret, fearing it would jeopardize everyone's happiness.

I found Qi Yue extremely likable. Unlike Shan Cai in "Meteor Garden", Qi Yue actually has some common sense and is not delirious the entire time. She is understanding, determined and level-headed, a perfect balance for Ah Meng because he can be quite temperamental at times. Her innocence is what attracts Ah Meng to her.

In my opinion, Rainie Yang was lovely as Qi Yue. Even though her facial expressions are over-exaggerated at times (perhaps the director asked her to do so?), she definitely has that 'cute and cuddly' factor. She's also got a lot of talent when it comes to singing and looks very adorable when she pouts or smiles. Unlike some of TVB's actresses (especially the newbies and Miss Hong Kongs), her crying is very convincing and didn't make me cringe while watching. Again, she made a perfect couple with Mike, finally a female lead who I can like and root for!

Kingone Wang Chuan Yi as Yuan Yi
Yuan Yi is basically the goody-two-shoes captain of the basketball team. He is, of course, a very nice, considerate person as well. Qi Yue was, at first, attracted to him because of his gentle nature. After getting dumped by Qi Yue though, Qi Yue's best friend, Qing Zi begins to pursue him.

Other Supporting Actors/Characters
I won't go into too much detail about the actors or the characters, but I found myself really enjoying the huge supporting cast. My favorites were Ah Meng's dad and Qi Yue's mom. It was so funny how they were constantly so 'lovey dovey' to one another that it made it so embarrassing to be around them.

Conclusion
"Devil Beside You" was overall an extremely sweet, engaging series. I found myself liking it and being hooked from episode one. The story was simple, but the cast and the script gave the conventional plot a very refreshing twist. It really goes to show that good girls do fall for 'bad boys' (at least in Taiwanese dramas). The only thing that bugged me about the series was the ending. Even though it was indeed a happy ending, it did not satisfy me at all and it left me wanting more. Although this might have been adapted from a manga, the plot is not overly silly or far-fetched and is at times, truly touching.

Favorite Scenes/Lines From the Series
What would a review be without mentioning my absolute favorite scenes or quotes? It was quite hard for me to narrow it all down though because there are A LOT of great lines in this series. Forgive me if the lines are not verbatim with what the characters say due to my brain having a possible memory lapse or poor translation. These are not in any particular or chronological order.

-One of my favorite lines from early in the series was what Yuan Yi said to Qi Yue when she was crying: 'There are people who intend to hurt you, but there are also people who get hurt because you are hurt'. Aww...

-Qi Yue misunderstands and blames Ah Meng for posting up her love letter around the school. She later finds out the truth and apologizes to him, saying that he can hit her if he wants. Ah Meng makes her close her eyes and prepares to swing his fist, but instead, he pulls her in for a kiss!

-Ah Meng is pedaling his bicycle with Qi Yue hanging on behind him. They almost get hit by a car at an intersection. While lying on the ground after the bike was knocked over, Qi Yue cheekily asks Ah Meng, 'Why is it always so dangerous when I am around you?' Ah Meng in return replies to her, 'It is dangerous, but I can protect you'. They end up kissing on the ground in the middle of the street!

-Ah Meng gets sick from standing outside in the rain. Qi Yue later rushes to his house and is angry because he did not tell her that he had a fever and for making her feel like she cannot be depended on. Ah Meng replies and says something like, 'No, I need your smile and your laughter the most', puts his hands on her face and tugs her in for a kiss. How sweet!

-Whenever Ah Meng says to Qi Yue, 'It's your 'like' that makes me the happiest', or, "You are the most important person to me." Any girl would melt if a guy said that to her!

-Another freshman declares that he wants to go out with Qi Yue (it is later found out that the freshman was actually Ah Meng's younger brother, Ah Rang). When Ah Meng hears of this, he tells Qi Yue, 'Other guys may like you, but I will like you the most'. Seriously, this guy has so many romantic lines!

-Ah Meng is leaving for Italy to stay with his mom. Qi Yue tells him to find out if the moon is rounder and bigger over there than in Taiwan. Ah Meng laughs and calls her an idiot, but later, when she is not in the room, he silently says to himself, 'There is only one moon in my heart'. (Note: 'Yue,' depending on the context, can mean 'moon' in Chinese) This really shows how much he needed and loved Qi Yue!

-Qi Yue is crying because she feels guilty for hurting the people around her due to her relationship with Ah Meng. Ah Meng declares to her, 'I don't care who I hurt because besides you, I don't want anyone else!' Qi Yue then pounces on Ah Meng and hugs him, making both fall down. This was such a sweet and cute scene.

-=| Pleading in S'pore Idol doesn't do any help |=-

Yesterday Shaun and I were out at Orchard doing all the crazy stuff we can thing of. Walking around the vicinity making other's difficulty to our enjoyment, bitching out loud and filling the compound with our laughter.
Anyways Shaun and I were debating that it was a must to pass math and pass (meet the 30 mark) 'o' Levels in order to enter a Polytechnic.

'You need to pass your math to enter polytechnic'
'Not every course requires the need of math.'
'For example design, you just have to prove that you are capable'
'Yeah, yeah, as if you are so capable like that '
'Yeah, go up there and say*Crying voice* please, please, let me join your school.'
'*low stern voice*I am sorry you just can't draw and your design sucks.'
'Please let me have one more chance of joining your school.'
'*Scribbles infround of the judges* see I can draw'
'Sorry, you are just not a design person, please take your leave'
'No, no, please let me join.'

-=| The Singaporean Fever |=-

Don't you think it is crazy to keep voting for the different competitions that the TV keeps coming up with? Guess what this week sermon topic is? Jurong Idol... There was a Project Superstar, Campus Superstar, Singapore idol 1 and 2, the never say die acting thingy which the lecherous Steven is in, and many many more competitions, and one new competition is going to start in channel 8, that competition which copied the creative show from Japan where people have to think of various creative ideas of creating a show or a action and judges would give them points. Well I guess this is the hit the iron when it is hot technique, but too much of something does not give you a good ending too.

And the voting with sms idea totally sucks, they are seriously earning lots of money this way, don't you think so. Well and I feel that it is only fair for people to only be able to vote once as many rich people or crazy fans might just mass vote for that one lousy person and that person wins, isn't it a unfair competition? Then people might say, "I don't believe in fairness in this world", then what is the point of queuing up under the hot sun for such a long time? Get a minute of fame?

Well I watched the first few episodes of the most recent Singapore Idol, and I could see some people who can actually make it in the show biz. The people below are those that I think has a higher chance then the people around them.

Terence

He was the first singer who sang in that piano show, and he looked super act. He acted very smiley smiley, till he looked like over confident liao. At first when I saw him on the TV, I thought he looked so familiar; he was a cast of living with Lydia. Since he was a part of a sit comm, he should have some fans already but, haha, didn't make it.

Jon

Having the similar name and hair length of that model who won the American model show who came to Singapore to further his career really did help this guy get to be the top 8 yeah? Having his trademarked rosary, he looks very photogenic in the advertisement for American idol.

Paul and Rahimah

Isn't it weird? On the day of auditions they claim to be siblings, but both of them have different surnames, their names are Paul Two hill and Rahimah Rahim. Hmm, if I am not wrong their dad is a Caucasian and their mum is Malay, so the daughter used the mum's name and the son used the dad. Well on the day of auditions I find that both their voices and styles are very different from the others and that was very attractive, perhaps it because of their ancestry talents that was passed down.

J O E| 3:31 AM |

They are not siblings actually. It was just the TV who branded them the Adams family cause of their hair. But they're both pretty good don't you think? =)

Yeah... i think so too. Their style is just very different from the mainstream(Which i think is good), i can tell that the judges do not really like it, and they seem to be changing it to be more mainstream.

-=| Green Forest, My Home - Chick flick (TV Spoiler) |=-
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

If you realized that Taiwan show that was posted in the time slot of 7pm to 8 pm from wednesday to friday has already ended and a whole new show have just came out this week. Due to it ending on a friday causing a great depression on the last episode, my sis bought the whole series of 'Green Forest, My Home', and I have kind of finish watching the series already. If you like those lovey dovey mushy little love stories i guess this is a great show for you.

Okay this is a summary of half the show, and as the title shows it is a TV spoiler. But it gives a background of what the story is about and though this set of series is not quite me, i prefer "devil beside me", because it looks more comical, however i shall write a summary about it another day, I recommend that it is quite a nice show to watch. Oh yeah i really like the south american flavoured flute intro of the show, and i guess that was what drawed me into the show.

The storyline:
"Su Fei (Sophie) is an innocent and happy child born into a musically inclined family. When her family's chauffeur passes away in an automobile accident, Sophie's parents decide to adopt his daughter Luo Shan into the family and treat her like their own. Luo Shan is renamed Su Shan (Susan).

Unable to shake off her humble background and persistently seeing herself inferior to Sophie, Susan fervently hopes that she can one day become the kind of person that Sophie is; only then can she be truly happy. The little girl grows up believing that she must have whatever Sophie has, even if it means stealing Sophie's childhood sweetheart.

The girls are enrolled at the Spencer Royal School of Music. One day, William, the young son of the founder of the School arrives from Austria to sit in on a class. Sophie, thinking that the 'new student' has forgotten to bring his textbook, graciously lends him hers, landing herself the punishment for not bringing her book. Reluctant to see Sophie wrongfully punished, William drags Sophie out of the classroom and into the Green Forest. There, the children see the legendary emanating green light, where within, an elderly lady tells William he will meet a girl whom he will love very deeply.

William gives Sophie the Spencer family crest and promises to protect her forever. On this surreal day, the young couple becomes Prince William and his Princess, even as Sophie remains anonymous to him. Before he returns to Austria, William returns to the School to look for Sophie, where he bumps into Susan who deliberately lies to him that the girl he is looking for is named Susan.

Years pass, and Sophie, Susan and William are all grown up. Susan (Song Zhi Ai) is now the artistic director of Spencer Royal School of Music, while Sophie (Esther Liu) returns from the Spencer school in Austria to teach at Green Elementary School, an open-concept school situated inside the Green Forest. Their childhood friend Yuan Fang (Ruan Jing Tian) now goes by the name Owen and is a world-renowned violinist.

William (Leon Jay Williams), now the new CEO of Spencer Royal School of Music is back to search for the girl from his childhood memories of 'Susan'.

Because of the deliberate lie made years ago, William is united with Susan, the wrong 'Princess' while the real one battle to save her beloved Green Elementary School - the place that holds fond childhood memories for her from demolition.

Owen, putting aside his affection for Sophie, finally reveals the truth to William and Sophie, but the fairytale romance is far from reaching a perfect ending."

Pictures and the storyline above was extracted from http://u.mediacorptv.com/greenforest.htm

Well this is the whole of first episode, and if you guys are interested, try typing the title of this show in youtube. I feel so doh when i realise that they were actually posts of that show online, and it's free.*doh doh doh!*(Echo)
