Here I am back in LaSalle again. So what have I been up to throughout the months? Leaving here with just a pathetic post of the trip to the Turkish restaurant, without even a picture of myself. It was the first time did the trio met up in a long while.
Well the great accomplishment I've done throughout my holidays was that wall mural I painted. I did pretty much of other stuff, but it just did not have the wow factor. I did things like painted a rusting table black, helped out in a church's CBS (Character Building School) for one day because I was not woken up on time, created 2 necklaces, bummed around, and many other crazy things.
The first day of school was a beginning of a beautiful nightmare, I wonder if I have just created an oxymoronic word on my own. Yes, it was really bad because the school is moving on to IT learning and everything is fed into the Internet. Not having to prepare anything left me in shock when the portal was updating me. This semester's work is going to be taxing, like what Ayuni said, 'It feels like we are back in secondary school where we are being pushed around to do things...' we have to write a 1000 word academic essay with inferences from books. And that is just one assignment from one of the many classes I attend.
For workshop throughout these 3 weeks, we would be working with oxidizing of silver nitrate to create a negative print picture. The result is very unpredictable; it is either too black due to over exposure, or too light with very little details. The creating of the image was not difficult, just that processing the pieces of cards individually with the method of try and error was the patience killer.
I find that the lecturer is really unprofessional, he speaks fragmented in broken English. I wonder if he actually got his masters, unless he writes fabulously well but he just tries to break it down so that we could understand him better.
