Im blogging right now in the school's library. Damn! i just can't get use to the Mac and apple computers. I just can't find microsoft words for me to type my entry and get a word check.Maybe i just havn't been in touch with computers for a while. I have been in school for officially 8 days, and i can be sure to say that life here cannot be compared to life at any academic schools/ institutions. When i was in school, i will be worrying about asignments, exams, and be afraid that information cannot stay in my head. In Laselle, people would be worried that their project dead lines are near, afraid that we cannot produce ideas, afraid of brain block and on top of that juggling with interaction of people around them, it will be teachers, students and "friends" around.
Most people in school might just be very arrogant, there were many instances where people just try so hard to pull the mouth muscles creating a huge grin from ear to ear and within a second that muscle contracts. People around arn't just as nice as they appear to be, well i don't blame them, i would rather find it out earlier that they arn't that nice then to find out much later that it was my best friends who stole my idea for a project.
In church i'am kind of known for having a huge set of apparel, or maybe i could mix and match them so well that church members didn't realise that it was a identical piece. But when i am attending classes would be another thing, i am running out of clothes to wear. It is really unbelievable, a guy who has a huge set of apparel has lost idea of what to wear. It was very competative on the first week, but i notice a gradual change of dressing up has begun. So why dun i dress down you may ask? But the answer is that i dun have presentable T-shirts to wear and maintain the image i'am trying to create. Damn! Group mates are wearing T-shirts but they are expensive T shirts, like those from flesh imp or something.
People in campus are so interesting, they actually dress to draw attention, and it is very obvious. i saw this pair of jap looking girls, and they always stick together be it with their boy friends or alone, the pretty one has long brown hair till below her waists, and the other has bleached yellow hair till off shoulders. Their makeup is so thick that if you were to snap a picture of them, their face looks perfect. I saw many goths and emos, they wear all black have real long fringes and hides themselves at a corner, it is only when you search hard enough that you are able to locate them. It was so funny when i saw a real goth at the botanical gardens, he was dressed all black sitting next to the pond doing his sketches under his umbrella under the sun i just feel like laughing when i saw him.There are many fake goths too, a big batch of lians, having black nails and eyeliner, trying to incorporate black laces and stuff into their dressing. That sounds like me yeah? so i shouldn't judge... im just going dark...Paul twohill is Emo rite? And i saw a guy with that exact hairdo, but this time it is brown. POSER! Not only is Paul's hair famous, Sylvester Sims hairdo is also quite famous among campus, can always spot afew.
There is this teacher called Nadia, or was it Dahlia, always getting their names mixed up. She looks really rich looking, her style is European vintage clothes, she wore that European top and that batic pouch who interviewed me. On that trip to botanical garens, she wore a huge bluish sunhat to protect her from the sun, with a matching vintage french top. She just looks really high fashion, can always picture her clothes to be gotten from designer brands like Gucci, Prada, and many more, designer brands with long history.
It is like living in a pressure cooker when staying in school and it is true that some teachers just cannot take the stress. There is this teacher called Ganna Mary, i guess she just couldn't take the stress. On the first day of orientation she confessed that students were calling her Scary Mary.
"Hi my name is Ganna Mary, and you can call me Mary for short. There are rumours of me being called Scary Mary, but i am not Scary. They are all made up by pass year students, and they are just rumours, dun belive in them. All my students are passing, and i dunno why are they doing this to me."
She sounds so loser, and this way she has distroyed her life for this whole year, as people will notice the lecturer even more as it was so memorable, or was it on purpose that she wants people to remember her. Any way Shaun even started a ryme on her.
"Hair Mary so contuary, how does your garden grow?"(Waving his hands around showing how hair under her arms were long.)
Talking about loser, Mary hot pants is no more Mary hot pants, but Mary 'belle' pants. She still wears her BB hat whever she is, and wears her teddy bear museum on her handphone necklace. The reason it is not a pouch is because i don't see the pouch, but a huge clump of teddy bears forming a pendant. Mary hot pants is also no more a bohemien lady, she lost all her crystals, i guess she had to trade them for her current clothes. Her clothes costs really much,for eg. Police, her fashion police t shirt , but the way she wears it devalues it alot.
Now not only do we have Fashion Police aka Mary long pants, she has a good friend called Nanny rattler. She carries that Campus Super Star noise rattler to take part in our worship in our sactuary, destroys all serinity and peace in church.
Last sat, there was this group of people from Thomson who came as a singing group. Omg! They actually want to sing? The advert for Singapore Idol comes to my mind immediately. The advert where Ja and the other guy comes out as warriors slaying the bad sounding people. "That sounds terrible... That sounds terrible" "You have a great voice..."
They are called house on fire or was it hearts on fire, whatever. The just don't have the standard, they had chosen the wrong people to sing the solos, Jimmy's voice came in after a chain of medley mixes, but his voice was too soft. That hong guy cannot reach the notes, and his voice just disapeared when he reached the high notes and it did not just happened once but many times. Karyne's voice is a choir type and when she sings alone, she sounds muffled. Their dress quote was pants and tie, but out of no where was Oreal in a dress, she was not the concentration, and was standing offcenter. On top of it all, Philip ko was very stressed out when hong wasn't able to reach the keys, they don't look as if they were enjoying, and their music style wasn't made their own.
okay, my posts is real messy today. But i am elabourating on reputation, image and impression. Image and reputation are very important and if created a bad one the impression would change.
